Total Organic Carbon Analysis - TOC Analysis

Title : Total Organic Carbon Analysis - TOC Analysis

Content : TOC Analysis

Title : TOC-L Series

Content : The TOC-L series of TOC analyzers adopts the 680°C combustion catalytic oxidation method, which was developed by Shimadzu and is now used worldwide. While providing an ultra wide range of 4 μg/L to 30,000 mg/L, these analyzers boast a detection limit of 4 μg/L through coordination with NDIR. This is the highest level of detection sensitivity available with the combustion catalytic oxidation method. In addition, the combustion catalytic oxidation method makes it possible to efficiently oxidize not only easily-decomposed, low-molecular-weight organic compounds, but also hard-to-decompose insoluble and macromolecular organic compounds.

Title : TOC-VWP

Content : Phosphoric acid and the oxidant (persulfate) are added to the sample, which is heated under UV illumination to convert the TC in the sample to carbon dioxide. This carbon dioxide flows with the carrier gas via the dehumidifier into the NDIR sample cell. The area of the carbon dioxide peak signal is measured and this peak area is converted to TC concentration using a pre-prepared calibration curve.

Content : Combustion catalytic oxidation / NDIR method The functionality for continuous automatic measurement has been added to the ability of the combustion catalytic oxidation/NDIR TOC-V Series to perform high-performance, high sensitivity measurement of organic substances. The On-line TOC-VCSH can be used for Continuous automatic high-sensitivity monitoring of water samples such as pure water and tap water.

Title : eTOC series

Content : Demands for highly purified water and its quality control are getting stronger in many industries, such as pharmaceutical, medical device, food/beverage, chemical, precision machinery, and semiconductor.

Title : TOC-4200

Content : The TOC-4200 is a high-performance on-line TOC analyzer, based on the proven 680°C Catalyst-aided Combustion technology. This established technology is featured in a large installed base of Shimadzu Total Organic Carbon Analyzers throughout the world, and has been applied to a broad field of industries.
